A new Rostov-on-Don airport to be constructed by Turkey's consortium Limak-Marashstroy

An agreement for construction and installation work as the prime contractor of the passenger terminal facilities and service area of Yuzhny Airport will be signed with Turkey’s consortium Limak-Marashstroy. The bid of this particular construction company was recognized by the commission of the customer, JSC Rostovaeroinvest (a coordinator in charge of the investment part of the venue) as meeting the requirements of the tender documentation to the fullest extent.

The procedure for selecting the prime contractor was launched in 2014. It held in two phases. All in all 54 construction companies expressed their interest in the project, 23 submitted their bids and 18 bidders were qualified. The main phase of the tender took place in the form of competitive negotiations and began in February this year. At this phase there were 11 proposals: Czech company PSJ and PSG International, China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd, JSC Kompakt (St. Petersburg), Alfa Stroy (Ekaterinburg), OOO RASEN Stroy Trend (Moscow), ZAO Renaissance Construction (St. Petersburg), OOO Prodim (Moscow), as well as Turkey’s companies - Ant Yapı, Yenig?n, Marashstroy in consortium with Limak.

As a reminder: the project of Yuzhny Airport provides for the passenger terminal with an area of 50 thousand square meters and capacity 5 million passengers per year. The terminal will be equipped with nine air bridges. The project is implemented on the basis of public-private partnership: 18.3 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, 6.3 billion rubles - from the regional, 17.9 billion rubles – investor’s funds. Commissioning is scheduled for 2017.

Significant experience has been gained at around 60 construction sites in all over the Russian Federation in projects of various levels of difficulty, such as residential complexes, hotels, shopping and business centers, warehouses, logistics centers, factories and plants. In particular, among the company’s completed projects are RusVinyl complex (PVC) in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Liebherr-Nizhny Novgorod plant, Schaeffler plant for the production of automotive and industrial components (Ulyanovsk Oblast), and etc; the current projects of the company - Sherrizon Industrial Park (Moscow Oblast), Multifunctional Shopping Center (Petrozavodsk), and etc.
