The employees of Platov international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) have passed training and have been admitted to the servicing of Airbus A220 planes. A respective record that the Airbus A220 and all its modifications are suited for operation has been entered into the Certificate of State Registration of the Rostov-on-Don (Platov) airfield and into Air Navigation Information Publications.
Airbus A220 is a family of narrow-body twin-engine prop-fan passenger jets seating up to 150 passengers depending on the cabin layout. This is a modern comfortable plane whose developers used a number of innovative solutions; it can perform flights to the distance of up to 5,500 km.
Employees of the ground service (apron services) and aircraft rescue & fire-fighting (ensuring fire safety and passenger escape from the plane incapable of self-propelled motion) divisions have been trained to attend to this type of aircrafts.
Platov airport can accept almost all types of passenger aircrafts, including different families of Airbus, ATR, Boeing, Embraer and other brands. Just to remind: Boeing 777 was the reference aircraft used in the process of Platov construction.
