According to the Skytrax rating, Platov International Airport (a part of Airports of Regions) was ranked among the 10 best regional airports of Russia and CIS countries; the rating is compiled by the authoritative research company Skytrax (UK) as part of the Independent Passenger's Choice Awards which is based on the results of surveys taken from international travellers.
“For the Platov airport, the sixth position in the ten top airports in Russia and CIS countries is a very powerful start," said Sergey Krasnov, Executive Director of “Rostovairoinvest” JSC. In May this year, we will have to undergo a specialized expert audit by Skytrax, according to which a "star rating" is assigned to the airport. Recognition by the passengers gives us extra confidence and at the same time demonstrates their trust.
The Skytrax World Airport award is awarded by air travellers in the largest annual customer satisfaction survey. The survey is conducted as an independent study without any entry fees or dues. The 2018 Award is based on nearly 14 million questionnaires filled by the passengers of more than 100 different nationalities. 550 airports around the world took part in the survey, and travellers assessed aviation flights for such indicators as registration, transfer, shopping, security, customs and passport control. The survey was available in English, Spanish and Chinese.
Besides, Platov
was ranked among the
top ten regional airports in Russia and CIS countries together with the international airports of Yekaterinburg and Samara, that is why, this year, Airports of Regions took three positions in the Skytrax rating at once. In the international rating, Platov neighbours with the airports of such cities as Nagoya, Denver, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Buenos Aires, and Cincinnati.
